NZC TE REO MĀORI UNITS
For Levels 1 -8 of the NZ Curriculum

Poutawa Reo has created engaging and effective unit packages to enhance the teaching of te reo Māori within your classroom! These packages are suitable for New Zealand Curriculum Levels 1-8 (Year 7 to Year 13/ NCEA Level 3).


Within each unit is a huge array of interactive tasks and activities that align to a programme of learning with specific learning intentions. You will have access to everything you would need to teach 30+ lessons.


These are high quality programmes that use a plethora of resources including digital and physical activities that are pre-created and assigned for your use.​

Our aim is to ensure that every touchpoint in the learning journey of te reo Māori is meaningful, enriching, and memorable. These units and lessons are ideal for kaiako wanting to invigorate their teaching and learning programmes and balance interactive learning with subject outcomes that are enjoyable for students.

There are a mix of activities that enhance students’ learning across all 6 language learning modes - kōrero, whakarongo, tuhituhi, pānui. Mātakitaki, whakaatu.

I-Pukupuka mā te Ākonga - Student Workbooks

Thoughtfully designed workbooks that allow students to consolidate their knowledge, reflect upon their learning, and apply their skills in varied contexts.

Māhere Whakaako - Teaching and Learning Guides

Comprehensive guides that empower educators, providing them with a clear roadmap, methodologies, and insights to deliver lessons with confidence and efficacy.

Ngohe Whakapūmau - Sample Assessment Tasks

Formative and Summative Assessment Tasks to ensure ākonga are retaining and developing their reo Māori knowledge where applicable.
