These packages are ideal for composite classes/ multi-leveled te reo Māori classes. As we know, this is a reality for te reo Māori programmes within mainstream kura.

So instead of planning 2 or 3 separate learning programmes (which is hard and time consuming!!) AS WELL AS monitoring individual student achievement over different tasks - these units are designed to provide relevant and engaging reo Māori content for students to work through individually to increase the reo Māori.

Kaiako then work alongside students to wānanga and expand on what they have learnt. These save so much time and stress trying to bounce between different year levels throughout the one lesson!
Each unit package contains:

 

• Over 50 hours of tasks

• Rerenga hōu - New sentences aligning to the unit theme/ assessment outcomes and the Grammar Progression table

• Ngā ara reo - Tasks develop all 6 language modes - pānui/ whakarongo/ tuhituhi/ kōrero/ mātakitaki/ whakaatu

• Kupu hōu- Vocabulary that aligns with the unit theme/ assessment outcomes and recommended word lists

• Rauemi ipurangi - Digital and online resources that make the content more engaging to rangatahi

• Rauemi matihiko - Digital tools that make lesson content relevant and engaging (not just book work and maroke tasks!)

• Aromatawai ā-roto - 2 internal assessment tasks which include scaffolded lessons to support assessment outcomes

These are also easily adaptable to blend in to an existing learning programme or kaupapa.

The cost of these units is $1299 + GST but can be used for multiple students each year, there is no limit to how many times your kura can use this resource.
